Forwards once more.

Well a new first battalion of the 3rd East Prussian regiment is finished. This time it has been put into the army box before I have a "bright idea" and sell it. For some reason I always seem to sell off my finished units. Hence my Prussian army consist of a grand total of 1 battalion and 12 Jaeger. Hopefully now I've conquered that impulse and can forge ahead.

The 1st battalion is mainly made up of Frontrank miniatures with a few Calpe officers and casualties.

I've also been working on some Saxon and Prussian Jaeger. These are all Calpe miniatures.

Kindest regards.

Neil.

WW2 Old School 1/300

Last month I started a new old project. I'm going to start a solo campaign of the Eastern Front 41-45. I'll be using WRG rules from the 70's. It's going to be a narrative campaign I think flipping from German to Soviet. Each month I'm going to paint different parts of the armies and I think I'll try and keep to a year by year time line. So starting this summer Operation Barbarossa. I'm keeping the forces small so as not to overwhelm myself.

So this is going to be real Old school set up, cardborad bases and all. First painted are a Soviet and German platoon. All Heroics & Ros miniatures.
On order for this month is heavy weapons for both side.

Regards.

The New 3rd Regiment.

Last year I sold off some of my Prussian miniatures including the command base. So now I'm back rebuilding the 3rd East Prussian Regiment. The first Battalion is made up of Frontrank miniatures with the odd Calpe miniature added in. As for the 2nd and 3rd battalion I haven't decided what miniatures to use. I pretty sure the 3rd Fusilier battalion will be Calpe miniatures.

I still have Saxons by Calpe and Russians by Frontrank in the mix as well. I have a Frontrank French battalion, but I think I'll paint and sell those and stick with Calpe for the French.

Kindest regards.

Neil.
