1st Battalion Finished.

I've finished the 1st Battalion of the 3rd East Prussian Regiment. Figures are by FrontRank and are outstanding.
I'm especially happy with the bases. The tufts are Gamer grass Green Meadow set. I may add some flowers but we will see.

A photo of my desk and what I'm working on. Mainly Prussians, but the odd fantasy and railroad project to keep me sane.

Thats it for now. Follow me on Instagram for more WIP photo's.

Cheers.

A few more finished.

Still cracking on with my Prussians. Now I have a plan sorted out there's no stopping me.

The Musketeers are Front Rank. The rest Calpe.

Prussians sir. Thousands of them.

Well I seam to be back in the swing of painting again. Over the last few months I've painted more Prussian miniatures than in the last 2 years combined. All I needed was a plan.
I worked out the battle I wanted to do, found a starting point and away we go.
The battle is Gross Beeren as it allows me to use Prussians, Saxon and French units.
I'm using a mix of Calpe and Front Rank miniatures.

The musketeers are Front Rank. The Landweher and Leib Hussar are by Calpe.
I'm planning on finishing the infantry regiment first, then the Hussars and landweher.
That should keep me busy for a while.
Cheers.

Painting Napoleonic's again.

After painting mostly fantasy and sci-fi miniatures this year I've decided to get back to painting Napoleonic's. It will come as no surprise to hear that I'm painting Prussians again. I have finished some Landweher and I'm now working on Volunteer Jaeger and Musketeers. The Landweher and Jaeger are by Calpe, the musketeers by Front Rank.

Small victories.

Yesterday I put the finishing touches to a couple of small projects that had been hanging around for quiet a while (years in 1 case).

I finally painted the 6pdr to go with my French horse artillery. Also the last figure of a 6 strong Prussian Jaeger unit.

The crew are by Elite miniatures, and the gun is from Calpe miniatures.

Figures from Calpe miniatures.

2019 New start, old projects.

So the start of a new year normally means the start of a new project. Not for me this year. I've decided to go back to my core and concentrate on those projects that mean the most to me.

First up is Napoleonic's. This has always been my main interest so most of my time will be spent on it. I finished a line battalion at the beginning of the month, and I'm well on my way to finishing a second.
I'm also starting on a French cavalry force. First with Hussar's, then some Chasseurs.

Second I'm going to consolidate my 6mm WW2 and Modern collection. My 1941 Eastern front project is nearly done. Just a few support weapons for that.
My modern project has all it's troops and vehicle's, I just need to work on some terrain.

Well thats all for now. I'll share a few pictures of my Napoleonic work in progress.

Cheers.
